Thanks to all the Sponsors, volunteers and above all, the runners. The weather was really good for the party we had.  All in all, we think it went well and we are excited to do it again next year. We already have a few ideas to improve it and expand it. With that being said, we would like your feedback on the event. We want to know what you did not like about it, what you think we could improve on and we also want to know what we did right. You can be as tough as you like; it will only make us better. The Beautiful Game

For the past 17 years the Xpress Soccer Club has offered kids in the Wichita Falls Area a way to pursue their passion for Soccer through a higher level of training and sports education.  Xpress Soccer has always been considered a stepping-stone into the High School and College level because of its quality of coaching, management and ideals. Without the Xpress Soccer Club, many talented kids would fall by the wayside, never realizing their full potential.

But all of this comes at a cost. The Xpress Soccer Club is a non-profit organization. Between the tournament and registration fees, uniforms, driving expenses and coaches, the costs add up quickly.  Consequently, fund-raising has become a necessity in order to keep the program alive and well.  We often conduct smaller sales such as mums, candles or local discount cards to help offset the costs. We even host a 3v3 tournament which not only brings in funds but improves players abilities as well….and to be totally honest, it’s just plain fun!

This time, however, we are thinking big. This year we have decided to host an annual Half Marathon/5K run- THE XPRESS Half Marathon/5K run

With the help of benevolent sponsors and dedicated volunteers, we feel you are really going to enjoy this event. 

The Half Marathon course starts at Memorial Stadium and takes you through the Lake Wichita Trail system. Here you enjoy the scenic landscapes and possibly run across the many wild animals found here. The American mink, beaver, bobcats or even the Gray fox are common residents in this reservoir area. Since the run is in Spring, your chances are pretty good to capture a great memory.       

      The 5k run starts at the same location and meanders through a nearby neighborhood. If you like a nice flat run to challenge your speed or simply out for excercise, this 5k will do the trick. Enjoy the crowd as they cheer you on to the finish line.

Whether you want to support our efforts to teach kids “the Beautiful Game”  or merely to enjoy a beautiful run, we hope to see you at  the starting line.

This event will be chip timed by the Wichita Falls Runners Club.
